FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – KIRIO HALIFAX
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
There is no formal dress code, but many of our guests enjoy dressing up for the evening. Think business casual or cocktail attire—whatever makes you feel comfortable. Gentlemen, ditch the ball cap, throw on a nice shirt and, yes, it is worth ironing!
WHAT MAKES FUSION DIFFERENT?
FUSION creates original large-scale live productions that combine live vocals, dance, acrobatics, gymnastics, immersive lighting, handcrafted costumes and visual storytelling. Every production is created from the ground up and showcases local artists from the communities where we perform.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Doors open one hour before each performance. We recommend arriving early to enjoy the pre-show atmosphere, purchase a drink from the cash bar and take advantage of the photo opportunities before finding your seat. The doors to the main performance room open approximately 45 minutes before showtime.
HOW DO I FIND MY SEAT?
Your assigned seat number is printed on your ticket. The Light House Arts Centre is an intimate venue, and staff will be available to help you find your seat. Guests attending the corporate performance will have a table number printed on their ticket.
CAN I CHANGE MY TABLE OR SEAT?
Unfortunately, seating assignments cannot be changed. Guests who purchase tickets together are seated together, and once tickets have been issued, we are unable to accommodate seat changes. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
IS THE AFTERNOON PERFORMANCE DIFFERENT?
No. The afternoon and evening performances feature the same spectacular KIRIO production. The only difference is the performance time.
CAN I BRING MY KIDS?
KIRIO is open to audiences of all ages, but due to the length and intensity of the production, we recommend the show for guests aged 10 and older. The corporate performance is attended primarily by adults, but older children are welcome.
HOW LONG IS THE SHOW?
KIRIO runs for approximately two hours, including an intermission.
DO YOU USE LOCAL ARTISTS IN THE SHOW?
Yes! KIRIO features over 75 local artists from the Halifax region, including singers, dancers, musicians, gymnasts, acrobats and other performers. Many are emerging artists, giving them an exciting opportunity to showcase their talents in a large-scale live production.
WILL FOOD AND DRINKS BE AVAILABLE?
Food is not available during the performance, so please plan to dine before or after the show. A cash bar will be open before the performance and during the evening.
